Good Book Covers perform two functions: they attract your attention and encourage you to open up the book and look inside. If a cover does that, it’s a good cover. Great covers do that plus they are memorable. Good covers need not be great art, and they are certainly not posters. If they are anything, they are great billboards — in a short period of time, they make you look and they interact positively with your brain.
